From the very beginning, in 1947, Candino watches have been ahead of their time. The vision of founder Adolf Flury-Hug combining a pioneering spirit and complete control over all levels of the manufacturing process has ensured Candino Swiss watches withstand the test of time.
In 1947, Adolf Flury-Hug realized his dream and opened a watchmaking workshop in an outbuilding of his parental home in Herbetswil. This workshop still stands next to the ultra-modern Candino factory, which opened in 1989. The factory in Herbetswil (Switzerland) assembles high-quality watches with the latest technologies. There are 64 qualified employees who assemble the watches and carefully control the quality of every part of a Candino watch. This is an essential step in the certification of the product before it is put on the market.
In 2002 Candino became a member of the Festina Group. The advantage of this merger is that Candino was able to make major strides through Festina's know-how regarding management, logistics and distribution. In turn, Candino has strengthened the group by contributing Swiss tradition and expertise.
The goal of Candino is that anyone who wears a Candino watch feels the intrinsic values of the brand: tradition, elegance and avant-garde. The brand has the skills and technology to design and manufacture a complete watch, including all the mechanical parts that make it up. Every day, research is done into new products, materials and designs. The aim of this is to offer the best product at a fair price.
Festina Group owns the Swiss movement manufacturer Soprod, which has three production sites: one in the city of Sion, where the quartz movements are made; the second, in Les Reussilles, where the production of automatic movements and the integration of complex modules takes place; and the third, in Saignelégier, where moevement parts are manufactured.
Our Candino collection consists of watches for women and men. The Candino men's watches have a modern-sporty look and are available with different tinted and structured dials and with a metal bracelet or leather band. The Candino women's watches in our range are sporty-elegant and very varied. Many models feature glittering crystals on the dial or case.
Most Candino watches are available in different color options such as completely silver, gold or two-tone (silver and gold). All Candino watches are equipped with scratch-resistant sapphire glass as standard.
