Replacement straps for both Orient and Orient Star watches, ranging in price on average from €50 to €200, are specially designed to complement the specific style of the watch. For instance, straps for Bambino models are made of leather, while those for sport and diver models are crafted from stainless steel. You can find the right strap for your watch by entering the code found on the case back into our strap finder tool. Plus, by following the instructions on our information page, you can easily swap your Orient watch strap yourself.
Whether you are looking for a stylish leather strap for your Bambino or a robust steel bracelet for your Mako, we offer the perfect match. Our collection features only genuine replacement straps for Orient and Orient Star watches. Simply enter your watch model code to find the right strap here.
The Orient watch brand was officially established in 1950, but the company's roots go back to 1901, when founder Shogoro Yoshida opened a watch shop in Tokyo. While the watch industry largely switched to battery-powered movements during the quartz crisis of the 1970s, Orient remained committed to mechanical movements. Orient Star (launched in 1951) is Orient's premium sub-brand, representing superior quality, refined finishing, and more complex movements, the "star" of the lineup. Since 2009, Orient has been wholly owned by Seiko Epson Corporation, known to most of us as the world's largest printer manufacturer. Thanks to the expertise in watch components and movements that Epson has cultivated since 1942, Orient is able to continue its tradition of producing in-house mechanical movements.
The design philosophy of Orient and Orient Star strikes a balance between classic elegance and functional sportiness. The collection can be broadly divided into three lines: classic & dress, sports and diving, and premium refinement (Orient Star). The classic 'dress' style is perfectly embodied by the world-famous Orient Bambino line. These watches feature a timeless, vintage aesthetic, complete with domed crystals and slim cases. Models such as the Orient Mako and Ray are legendary dive watches. They offer a robust, sporty look, combining excellent water resistance with a rugged appeal. Refined Orient Star watches are distinguished by their signature power reserve indicator. Their style is more luxurious than that of standard Orient watches, featuring exquisitely finished dials and 'Open Heart' models that allow you to watch the movement ticking in real time.
Orient watch straps and bracelets are designed to complement the specific style of the watch case. The brand frequently uses leather straps with crocodile or alligator embossing for its classic (Bambino) dress watches, creating a formal and traditional look. The sports and dive watches feature robust, stainless steel Oyster-style bracelets that are highly durable and offer a solid, modern appearance. For Orient Star models, the steel bracelets often boast a more luxurious finish, combining polished and brushed links to create a stunning interplay of light.
You can find a replacement strap for your watch by entering the code found on the back of the watch into our unique strap finder. Orient watch codes consist of a combination of letters and numbers separated by hyphens. If your watch has a straight strap mount, you can also filter our selection by width, material, and color.
Orient watch straps range in price from €13 for a simple leather strap to €475 for a solid steel bracelet from Orient Star. Most Orient straps cost between €50 and €200 on average.
The most popular Orient watch strap is the 21mm-wide brown leather strap with a crocodile-grain finish, which fits over 15 different Bambino models. Also popular is the black rubber strap for the Ray II, featuring the dolphin symbol.
Most straps for standard Orient models (such as the Bambino and Mako) come from Seiko Epson factories in Thailand, where assembly often takes place as well. In contrast, straps for the higher-end Orient Star line are usually manufactured and finished entirely in Japan. These steel bracelets undergo a more complex polishing process, such as the Sallaz/Zaratsu technique, resulting in a superior finish.
In principle, Orient watch straps are not interchangeable because they are designed for a specific watch model or type. We recommend choosing only from the straps displayed in the results of our strap finder tool. An exception to this rule is leather straps with straight ends; for these, you can choose any strap of the correct width.
Changing your Orient watch strap might seem complicated, but it isn't. With our step-by-step instructions, you can easily do it yourself. You can find all the tools needed to change the strap on our accessories page.
