In the nineteensixties, a Swiss mountaineering team  succeeded to reach the summit of the Dhaulagiri (8167m). At this time one of only two not yet climbed eight-thousanders. The members of this expedition wore Certina DS Automatic watches. The DS-2 Chronograph Automatic is based on this legacy model. Powered by a 29 jewel Swiss A05.231 automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve and a silicon hairspring, this watch is not just a powerhouse on the inside, but - due to the Certina Double-Security system - 20 ATM water resistant and extremely robust. Besides the minutes and seconds chronograph dials, the dial features a discreet date window at 6 o’clock. This watch combines functionality with understated elegance. Its ‘turtle’ shaped case, and attention to detail make it a timeless accessory.
